Hypertension or high blood pressure is a condition that occurs as a result of higher than normal pressure (tension) within the arterial vessels that carry blood from the heart to other organs. Normal blood pressure should be below 120/80 whereas, pressure higher than 140/90 is considered as high blood pressure.
